MONTHLY SLAM:
Poets will slam it out for the glory to win books and other gifts, offer for winning(considering its previously unpublished) poem/s to be featured in the forthcoming issues of 'Lastbench' and a place in grand finale where at the end of the year all the finalists will be contesting for the title of The 'Headliner', an original sculptured award display made from The Permo-Triassic Sandstones of Liverpool and various promotional incentives such as featured slots in poetry gigs including our own OPEN MIC@Bombed Out Church.
PLUS! The winner of the final will have a chapbook of selected poems published by Anitivirus Publication, which is a non-profit organisation run by artists.
BONUS! The winner of the final will be included in the following year's show that Antivirus/Lastbench will be curating for the New York City Poetry Festival.

(The poets will draw from a hat if the interest is higher than maximum number of contestant-slot)
Slam Rules:
1. Poetry must be your own original work
2. No singing or props.
3. There will be two rounds for each poet.
4. Poets have 3 minutes to perform their poetry. The clock starts starts from the very first thing you say
1 Point per 10 seconds will be deducted for over-running
At 30th second host will stop you, you’ll be judged on your incomplete poem.
5. The poets will be scored out of 10 in two categories. Written content & quality of performance. The highest total score over both rounds goes through to the final
6. 5 Judges will be randomly chosen from the audience. However, the the top and bottom scores will be removed to ensure fairness. Additionally, there will be a 'wildcard' critiques' choice for outstanding excellence.
7. If you don't win the first slam you can compete in any of the other upcoming monthly slams. BUT you cannot perform the same poems again

Alternatively, enlist on the door. First come first serve basis. Max 5 minutes slot.
